CrossFit runs through my veins… it always has, I just never knew what “it” was. My youth and young adult life was spent finding a new hobby, mastering it, and moving to the next one. Constantly looking for something different, something more difficult, something that would get me to push my limits and demand 100% effort. I knew that I wanted more, I just didn’t know where to look.
The “It” was the adrenaline rush and now, the vehicles that constantly supplies it for me is CrossFit. My search is over . I am able to incorporate the skills and functions from my past hobbies: football, golf, basketball, stunt riding, snowboarding, parkour, gymnastics, Jui Jutsu (did I miss any?) into my training allowing me to constantly improve. I am always racing the clock to beat my past time, increase my reps, or weight… and while I am- that feeling comes over me. And when I’m done, and on the floor just me and my sweat angel…I’m never left with that feeling of restlessness; just exhaustion and excitement for the the next time the clock counts down.
